Parrys Carpets & Floorcoverings - Butler

I was moving from Sydney to Perth and was wanting to get renovation items for my new house sorted as soon as possible and prior to arriving in WA . Not knowing where to go I googled carpets and up cam Parrys and I started an on line enquiry . Chris was from Parrys Butler and I was going to be residing probably and hour or more away but that didnt bother Chris . I knew I wanted good quality plush pile nylon carpet and Chris knew exactly what I wanted and made the suggestion and mailed to me in Sydney a sample which I absolutely loved . I had floor plans so I emailed them to Chris who gave me a comprehensive and competitive quote to provide uplift of old carpet and lay new carpet on quality underlay . I was so happy with everything that I paid the deposit and booked the job in . The carpet got laid on the day and time that was given and the layer was a real tradesman and a delight to have in the house . The carpet looks fantastic and is the look and feel that I wanted . Throughout the whole process Chris kept in constant contact with me regarding updates on stock arrival , lay dates etc and followed me up after the job to make certain I was satisfied . To this date I have never met Chris from Butler Parrys but I didnt need to either as he has ability to service a client remotely and understood the brief and gave me what I wanted and delivered on every level ... the carpet every time I walk on it is proof of this . I would highly suggest anyone wanting carpet to contact Chris at Butler Parrys and enjoy the service and products that I have .

My wife and I walked into the shop a few days ago. We're looking to put vinyl plank flooring into our home within the next few weeks. The salesperson didn't acknowledge us. He didn't even look up from his computer screen. There wasn't another customer in the store. Just us. So, after about five minutes, we walked out and will not shop at another Parry's store. We are not going to support that kind of rudeness. I guess they don't need sales with JobKeeper.

My experience with Parry's has been unfortunate to say the least. Deposit paid June 30, flooring is still not finished. Some of the delay is down to me but Parry's communication skills are sadly lacking.Chris, the salesman at BUTLER store seemed competent but gave me slightly wrong information which caused extra expense. He left the company soon after to be replaced by a young lady who told me My order Would be cancelled and a new one raised. This didn't happen so I phoned the company and the promise was repeated, but again it didn't happen. Eventually it was sort it out and the fitters arrived sometime later Informing me that the planking I chose required 6 mm MDF sheets under to reach the correct finished level.This caused further delay and $650 cost which I believe was an overcharge; anyway, they made two attempts but did not complete.PS- a response to this review said that there must have been serious problems with my concrete floor; not true and mere speculation. I prepared the floor meticulously with many hours of effort and as I said, the problem was having to compensate for the difference in level by laying MDF sheets.I didn't get the free measure and quote, can't recall why not thought would advise anyone strongly to insist on it before committing.In their absence, an inspector from the company that built the unit came to inspect a broken floor tile. To my great surprise he found several other defective tiles and stated that they were Not Laid to company standards and would have to be taken up. So I decided to replace the tiles with additional timber flooring, an addition of about 6 m².Justin at the BUTLER store wrote up the order and gave an installation date of August 20. He has been the one bright spot in this saga.Update-Called into the store a while ago and spotted 2 rolls of a carpet I had installed in another house many years ago. Justin made an informal arrangement for me to buy them & reserved them until I finished paying. He informed head office that I was ready to have it laid and just a couple of days later an email from the fitter said there'd be a delay because someone had called in sick. I knew I would have to lift the carpet and dispose of it myself but another email arrived saying the underlay must be removed also. That caused me quite a bit of work because the existing underlay had been glued to the concrete slab. Getting the carpet up was easy but the underlay not so and I spent hours scraping the slab clean.The fitter arrived next day I'm asked why I had taken up the underlay so I showed him the email and he was as confused as me.Because I had been messed around a little he said he would fit an upgraded underlay which I thought was generous. I had to leave before he finished the job but I was confident it would be ok; the only complaint I had was he damaged the bottom of both bedroom doors by leaving them up to fit the carpet under. I would think the installer would remove the doors & trim the bottoms but Justin informed me that they don't do this. I was not too bothered since I have a plane and was able to clean them up myself.

Outstanding!!! We had aqua Hybrid installed by Neil absolutely beautiful no hassles nice guy tidy no mess definitely use Parrys and Neil again cheers

Parrys Butler is a really nice new modern shop to walk into. The gentleman that works there gives you the time to browse and offers very helpful assistance and answers all questions. He goes above and beyond to ensure professional service is recieved. There is nothing he wouldnt do for his customers. The team that work together to get the carpets and flooring replaced, stocked, moved, and re-laid are all fantastic, lovely people to work with. For great service, advice and choices for flooring, this is the place to go.

Great customer service. After going to 5 other Floor Specialists I called into Parrys Butler. As I was attempting DYI renovation project I was really impressed with the helpful advice and guidance from Justin. The products that he suggested were perfect and very easy to instal.Mist grateful. What a great Company to deal with! From Justin the salesman in the Butler store to Blake at Head Office! We've unfortunately messed them about a bit by decreasing our original order and changing installation dates, but they have been super accommodating regarding the deposits etc, even when they legally didn't have to be! Fantastic service so far! Will definitely be going back to complete the rest of the order later in the year!
